The Taylor Fire Department holds many community events and programs throughout the year, including but not limited to:
- Operation Red Santa: a joint effort to ensure Taylor area children have toys for Christmas and their families have food for a holiday dinner.
- Memorial March and Patriot Day Program: held every September 11, the Memorial March and Patriot Day program is one of the few programs still held across the nation each year in honor of the first responders who died while rescuing victims of the September 11 attacks on the United States in New York and Virginia in 2001.
- Open House: every year the Taylor Fire Department invites members of the community to the Fire Station for food, fun, games as well as helpful fire prevention information.
- Fire Prevention Week: held in conjunction with the National Fire Safety Week, members of the Taylor Fire Department spend the week visiting local schools to education students on the importance of fire prevention.
