Mitchell Drummond

Mitchell Drummond was elected as the District 2 Council Member in May 2018. He was sworn in at a special Council meeting held on May 15, 2018. Council Member Drummond is a Taylor native, now retired, who moved back to the community from Austin after graduating high school. He earned an Associate's degree from Temple College. He worked as an electrician, and later at the Sandow Power Plant in Rockdale as a lead instrument and control technician. Mr. Drummond enjoys gardening and is a member of Keep Taylor Beautiful. Volunteer work includes being a first aid manager at the Old Settler's Music Fest, and a volunteer with the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts. His wife, Lisa, is a nurse practitioner who works at Lone Star Circle of Care Clinic in Taylor. They together have three sons.
