CONSENT AGENDA

(The Consent Agenda includes non-controversial and routine items that the Council may act on with one single vote. The Mayor or a Council member may pull any item from the Consent Agenda in order that the Council discuss and act upon it individually as part of the Regular agenda.)

 

1.      Minutes from June 27, 2006 and July 3, 2006.  (Susan Brock)

2.      Ordinance 2006-13 rezoning property in the 500 and 600 blocks of South Doak Street, legally described as Doak Addition, Block 36, Lots 1 -10, and Block 39, Lots 3-9 and a portion of Lot 2 from M-1 (Light Industrial) to R1 (Single Family).

3.      Ordinance 2006-14 rezoning property owned by Lorenza M. Vasquez located at 1108 W. 2nd Street legally described as Doak Addition, Block 53, Lot 11, from B-1 (Local Business) to B-2 (General Business).

4.      Ordinance 2006-15.  Extending the boundaries of the City of Taylor, Texas and the annexation of territory consisting of 1,111.81 acres of land located in Williamson County, Texas, being 618.92 acres situated in the James C. Eaves Survey Abstract No. 213, and 492.89 acres situated in the Samuel Pharrass Survey, Abstract No. 496. 

5.      Ordinance 2006-16.  Adopting the International Residential Code (IRC) and the International Building Code (IBC).

6.      Proclamation:  National Night Out, August 1, 2006. (Mayor)

7.      Consider license agreement between the City of Taylor and Marjorie Daudry to allow encroachment of City alley at 801 Victoria Street.  (John Elsden)

8.      Consider water quality of Taylor Water Supply.  (Jim Dunaway)

9.      Consider Park priorities for improvements to Robinson, Murphy, and East Williamson County Parks.  (Bob van Til)

10.  Conduct Public Hearing and consider Resolution R06-16 approving application to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for an Outdoor Recreation Grant.  (Bob vanTil)

11.  Consider Strategic Plans for the Community Development Department.  (Bob van Til)

12.  Consider City Council meeting dates for July.  (Mayor)

13.  Executive Session. The Taylor City Council will conduct a closed executive meeting under Section 551.072 of the Texas Government Code in order to deliberate regarding acquisition of real property.

14.  Consider action on Executive Session.

The Council may vote and/or act upon each of the items listed in this Agenda.  The Council reserves the right to retire into executive session concerning any of the items listed on this Agenda, whenever it is considered necessary and legally justified under the Open Meetings Act.  I certify that the notice of meeting was posted in the Taylor City Hall Lobby before 6:00 pm on July 10, 2006 and remained posted for at least 72 continuous hours before the scheduled time of said meeting.  I further certify that the following news media was notified of this meeting:  Taylor Daily Press.
