CONSENT AGENDA

(The Consent Agenda includes non-controversial and routine items that the Council may act on with one single vote. The Mayor or a Council member may pull any item from the Consent Agenda in order that the Council discuss and act upon it individually as part of the Regular agenda.)

 

1.      Ordinance 2006-21 Assignment pay for Police and Fire Departments.

 

REGULAR AGENDA – REVIEW/DISCUSS & CONSIDER/ACTION:

2.      Consider approving Ad Valorem Tax Rate: Ordinance No. 2006-18 fixing and levying ad valorem tax rate for tax year 2006-2007.

3.      Consider approving Ordinance No. 2006-19 adopting the 2006-2007 annual budget excluding “Contributions to Civic Programs”.

4.      Consider approving “Contributions to Civic Programs” included in Ordinance 2006-19.

5.      Consider introducing Ordinance 2006-25 regarding TMRS.  (Starla Hall)

6.      Consider contract agreement with Assurant for a Long Term Disability Plan.  (Starla Hall)

7.      Consider renewing professional services contract with Benetex.  (Starla Hall)

8.      Consider changes in health insurance benefits for City employees.  (Starla Hall)

 

ADJOURN

 

The Council may vote and/or act upon each of the items listed in this Agenda.  The Council reserves the right to retire into executive session concerning any of the items listed on this Agenda, whenever it is considered necessary and legally justified under the Open Meetings Act.  I certify that the notice of meeting was posted in the Taylor City Hall Lobby before 6:00 pm on September 1, 2006 and remained posted for at least 72 continuous hours before the scheduled time of said meeting.  I further certify that the following news media was notified of this meeting:  Taylor Daily Press.
