1.      Minutes from August 22, and August 29.  (Susan Brock).

2.      Ordinance 2006-20, Sign Ordinance Amendment.

3.      Ordinance 2006-22, Future Land Use Amendment.

4.      Ordinance 2006-24, Tax Abatement.

5.      Ordinance 2006-25 regarding TMRS.   

 

REGULAR AGENDA – REVIEW/DISCUSS & CONSIDER/ACTION:

 

6.      Consider increase in fees for IESI solid waste collection services.  (Jim Dunaway)

7.      Consider awarding bids for sale of city owned properties. (Bob vanTil)

8.      Consider Resolution R06-18 supporting East Williamson County Higher Education Center. (Frank Salvato; John Nelson)

9.      Consider request from Taylor Jaycees to close 3rd Street and to authorize the sale of alcohol for a Street Dance on September 23, 2006.  (Jean Johnson)

10.  Consider purchase of two police vehicles from HGAC.  (Chief Jeff Straub)

11.  Consider deleting Section 6.13 from the Personnel Policy Manual regarding On-Call/Standby Pay.  (Frank Salvato)

12.  Consider Long Range Plan for Taylor Public Library. (Karen Ellis)

13.  Consider Resolution R06-20 rescinding and repealing an agreement with the City of Austin regarding extraterritorial jurisdiction. (Bob vanTil)

14.  Consider professional services agreement with Langford Community Management Services for Murphy Park grant.  (Jim Dunaway)

15.  Consider awarding contract to Diebold-USA to replace Drive Up Drawer at City Hall Annex building.  (Jim Dunaway)

16.  Consider introducing Ordinance 2006-23 Fees for services provided by the City. (Jim Dunaway)

17.  Consider introducing Ordinance 2006-26 Budget amendment.  (Jim Dunaway)

18.  Consider appointment of Interim Fire Chief.  (Frank Salvato)

19.  Executive Session.  The Taylor City Council will conduct a closed executive meeting under Section 551.074 of the Texas Government Code in order to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee, Interim Fire Chief.

20.  Consider action from Executive Session.

The Council may vote and/or act upon each of the items listed in this Agenda.  The Council reserves the right to retire into executive session concerning any of the items listed on this Agenda, whenever it is considered necessary and legally justified under the Open Meetings Act.  I certify that the notice of meeting was posted in the Taylor City Hall Lobby before 6:00 pm on September 11, 2006 and remained posted for at least 72 continuous hours before the scheduled time of said meeting.  I further certify that the following news media was notified of this meeting:  Taylor Daily Press, Austin American Statesman, and Williamson County Sun.
