CONSENT AGENDA

(The Consent Agenda includes non-controversial and routine items that the Council may act on with one single vote. The Mayor or a Council member may pull any item from the Consent Agenda in order that the Council discuss and act upon it individually as part of the Regular agenda.)

1.      Minutes from February 6, and February 19, 2007.  (Susan Brock). 

2.      Ordinance 2007-4, establishing a no parking zone.

3.      Concur with financials for January, 2007.  (Rosemarie Dennis)

 

REGULAR AGENDA – REVIEW/DISCUSS & CONSIDER/ACTION:

 

4.      Conduct Public Hearing on roadway land use assumptions, a capital improvements plan, and the imposition of an impact fee for roadway capacity. (John Elsden)

5.      Consider Resolution R07-4 to adopt roadway land use assumptions, a capital improvements plan, and the imposition of an impact fee for roadway capacity.  (John Elsden)

6.      Consider Resolution R07-5 to set a date for Public Hearing on roadway impact fee rates. (John Elsden)

7.      Consider request from Brasfield Real Estate to place realtor Open House signs on city right of ways.  (John Elsden)

8.      Conduct Public Hearing and consider introducing Ordinance 2007-6 regarding juvenile curfew.  (Don Georgens)

9.      Consider management consultant agreement with Langford Community Management Services for the East Williamson County Park Phase II grant. (Jim Dunaway)

10.  Consider Resolution R07-8 to participate in a joint coalition of cities known as Alliance of Gas Municipalities (AGM). (Frank Salvato)

11.  Consider T-Hangar leasing policy for Taylor Municipal Airport hangars.  (Bob vanTil)

12.  Consider Resolution R07-9 approving a request from the Williamson County and Williamson County Cities Health District (WCCHD) members to approve a letter to non-participating cities in Williamson County regarding benefits of WCCHD membership.  (Jim Dunaway)

13.  Consider Quarterly CIP Report.  (Casey Sledge)

14.  Consider resolutions in support of City of Taylor’s legislative agenda:

      a. R07-10 in support of East Williamson County Higher Education Center

      b. R07-11 in support of increase funding for Texas parks and Wildlife Grant programs.

      c. R07-12 in support of legislation restricting location of the Trans Texas Corridor

      d. R07-13 in support of full funding for State Transportation Enhancement Program (STEP)

      e. R07-14 in support of legislation strengthening city authority to regulate land use

      f. R07-15 in support of funding for US Hwy 79 improvements to West Second Street in City of Taylor

      g. R07-16  opposing local revenue caps

15.  Executive Session.  The Taylor City Council will conduct a closed executive meeting under Section 551.072 of the Texas Government Code in order to deliberate regarding acquisition of real property.

16.  Consider action on Executive Session.

The Council may vote and/or act upon each of the items listed in this Agenda.  The Council reserves the right to retire into executive session concerning any of the items listed on this Agenda, whenever it is considered necessary and legally justified under the Open Meetings Act.  I certify that the notice of meeting was posted in the Taylor City Hall Lobby before 6:00 pm on February 23, 2007 and remained posted for at least 72 continuous hours before the scheduled time of said meeting.  I further certify that the following news media was notified of this meeting:  Taylor Daily Press.
