CONSENT AGENDA

(The Consent Agenda includes non-controversial and routine items that the Council may act on with one single vote. The Mayor or a Council member may pull any item from the Consent Agenda in order that the Council discuss and act upon it individually as part of the Regular agenda.)

1.      Minutes from April 24, 2007.  (Susan Brock) 

2.      Ordinance 2007-9 amending Sign Ordinance 2003-42 regarding billboards.

3.      Ordinance 2007-11 amending Fees Ordinance, setting online pay processing fees and library meeting room fees.

 

REGULAR AGENDA – REVIEW/DISCUSS & CONSIDER/ACTION:

 

4.      Proclamation:  National Police Week, May 13-19, 2007 (Mayor)

5.      Proclamation:  National Historic Preservation Month.  (Mayor)

6.      Consider presentation by Hope Alliance.  (Frank Salvato; Patty Conner)

7.      Consider adoption of Ordinance 2007-5 regarding the regulation of Garage Sales.  (Bob vanTil)

8.      Consider joint use agreement template for park facilities. (Bob vanTil)

9.      Consider Resolution R07-22 approving grant application for the Safe Routes to School Program.  (Bob vanTil)

10.  Consider Professional Services Agreement with Sledge Engineering, LLC, for 2007 Street Maintenance Project. (Jim Dunaway)

11.  Consider list of streets to be included in the 2007 Street Maintenance Project. (Jim Dunaway)

12.  Executive Session.  The Taylor City Council will conduct a closed executive meeting under Section 551.071 of the Texas Government Code in order to meet with it’s City Attorney on a matter in which the duty of the Attorney to the governmental body under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas authorize and allow such a closed meeting and which Rules conflict with the Texas Open Meetings Act.  

13.  Consider action from Executive Session.

The Council may vote and/or act upon each of the items listed in this Agenda.  The Council reserves the right to retire into executive session concerning any of the items listed on this Agenda, whenever it is considered necessary and legally justified under the Open Meetings Act.  I certify that the notice of meeting was posted in the Taylor City Hall Lobby before 6:00 pm on May 7, 2007 and remained posted for at least 72 continuous hours before the scheduled time of said meeting.  I further certify that the following news media was notified of this meeting:  Taylor Daily Press.
