17. Executive
Session. The Taylor City Council will hold a closed executive meeting pursuant
to the provisions of the Open Meetings Law, Chapter 551, Government Code, in
accordance with the authority contained in Section 551.087 to discuss or
deliberate regarding commercial and/or financial information on a business
prospect that the City of Taylor, Texas seeks to have locate, stay, or expand
in or near the city of Taylor, Texas and with which the City of Taylor, Texas
is conducting economic development negotiations and/or to deliberate the offer
of financial or other incentives to the business prospect.
18. Consider action
from Executive Session.
ADJOURN
The
Council may vote and/or act upon each of the items listed on this Agenda. The
Council reserves the right to retire into executive session concerning any item
listed on this Agenda, whenever it is considered necessary and legally
justified under the Open Meetings Act. I certify the notice of this meeting
was posted in the Taylor City Hall Lobby before 6:00 pm on April 18, 2008 and
remained posted for at least 72 continuous hours before the scheduled time of
said meeting and that the news media was notified of this meeting: Taylor
Daily Press.
