CONSENT AGENDA

(The Consent Agenda includes non-controversial and routine items that the Council may act on with one single vote.  The Mayor or any Council member may pull any item from the Consent Agenda to discuss and act upon individually on the Regular Agenda.)

 

  1. Minutes for October 27, and October 29, 2009.  (Susan Brock)
  2. Ordinance 2009-23 amending zoning ordinance to include Institutional (I) and Parks (P) Districts.

REGULAR AGENDA; REVIEW/DISCUSS AND CONSIDER ACTION

 

  1. Consider informational report from the Brazos River Authority (BRA).  (Jim Dunaway; David Collinsworth)
  2. Consider request for rate increase from IESI, Inc., solid waste management service provider.  (Danny Thomas)
  3. Conduct Public Hearing regarding annexation of approximately 2, 391 acres of property located on the north along both sides of Main Street, the east along both sides of US 79, on the south to the west of US 95, and on the west along the east side of CR 101 on both sides of CR 395 and providing a service plan.  (John Elsden)
  4. Conduct 1st Public Hearing regarding the establishment of a Municipal Drainage Utility System (MDUS).  (Jim Dunaway; Casey Sledge)
  5. Consider introducing Ordinance 2009-27 regarding an amendment to the Sign Ordinance with regard to the industrial park district.  (John Elsden)
  6. Consider approving Resolution R09-14 authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the City of Hutto regarding extraterritorial jurisdiction.  (Bob vanTil)
  7. Executive Session.  The Taylor City Council will conduct a closed executive meeting under Section 551.071 of the Texas Government Code in order to meet with it?s City Attorney on a matter in which the duty of the Attorney to the governmental body under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas authorize and allow such a closed meeting and which Rules conflict with the Texas Open Meetings Act:

·         Neighborhood Stabilization Program

·         Center Point, Inc. 

·         East Williamson County Higher Education Center

  1. Consider action from Executive Session.

ADJOURN

The Council may vote and/or act upon each of the items listed in this Agenda.  The Council reserves the right to retire into executive session concerning any of the items listed on this Agenda, whenever it is considered necessary and legally justified under the Open Meetings Act.  I certify that the notice of meeting was posted in the Taylor City Hall Lobby before 6:00 pm on November 9, 2009 and remained posted for at least 72 hours continuously before the scheduled time of said meeting.  I further certify that the following news media was notified of this meeting:  Taylor Daily Press.
