Porter Street and Fifth Street closed for one month during the day

Heritage Park renovation

Citizens driving north of City Hall and on the east side of Legacy High School should be aware of road closures in the area starting Wednesday, March 7 and continuing daily for one month in connection to the renovation of Heritage Square Park for installation of a new sewer line.

Porter Street between Fifth and Sixth Streets will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., as will Fifth Street between Porter Street and the north exit out of the City Hall parking lot.

The Utility Billing Department drive-up lane on the north side of City Hall remains open, and can be accessed from Washburn Street. The exit from the drive-through window remains open to the north onto Porter Street, with a right turn only to head east to Washburn Street.

Please note that the City Hall parking lot is not a through street as a substitute for Porter Street being closed. Increased traffic through the parking lot becomes a safety concern for citizens, staff and contractors who daily are in and out of the building.
