City of Taylor Clean Up Weekend
Date: April and October
Collection Sites: 1424 N Main St.
1200 Welch St.
Hours: 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
Gates will close at 3:00 pm
Rates per vehicle: No charge; for residents only; must show proof of residency
Guidelines
The city will
NOT accept:
- Appliances with refrigerant
- Batteries
- Chemicals
- Construction materials (incuding roof shingles or concrete)
- Hazardous materials (see computer drop off info below)
- Paint
- Solvents
- Tires
- Unbagged trash
- Waste Oil
Electronics
ON Technology will be on site accepting old and/or broken computers for recycling.
Brush
Brush needs to be
manageable to be picked up by hand. Some loads of brush and all stumps over 18" will not be accepted.
Williamson County Recycling
Oil, oil filter, and scrap metal as well as old computer and printer may be disposed of at Williamson County Recycling Center. Batteries, waste oil, oil filters, appliances with refrigerants, chemicals or other hazardous materials will not be accepted at any other dumpster locations.
City Recycling Center
Don't forget to take advantage of the
City Recycling Center at 1606 N Main, Taylor, TX 76574. The center is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week for single strem recycling items.
Volunteer
Volunteers and local civic groups will be picking up trash throughout the city, especially along main thoroughfares starting at 8:00 am. Any citizen who would like to join the effort and pick up trash in their neighborhood is urged to do so and bring their filled bages to the chamber location.
Limits
Clean up is limited to city residents only. A City of Taylor water bill or valid ID must be shown. All Taylor residents are urged to begin their cleanup efforts now and participate in the citywide cleanup and trash off one Saturday in April and also on one Saturday in October.

Anyone needing more information may call Danny Thomas at 512-352-6257. Due to the popularity of this event you may experience delays at clean up sites while unloading trucks.
