Parks and Recreation Advisory Board

Introduction

Established in 2013, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board shall advise the City Council and Parks and Recreation Director on matters pertaining to the acquisition, development, sound management, maintenance, and use of parks and recreation facilities owned or controlled by the City and as directed by the City Council.

Board Membership

The City Council appoints the eight members of the Board, five should be residents of the City, two should be residents of the ETJ, and one should be a student age 16 or older who attends Taylor High School or Legacy Early College High School. The adult members serve staggered three year terms. Student members serve one year terms.
