Dwayne Ariola

Dwayne Ariola was elected to City Council, At-Large in May 2017 and reelected May 2023. He was first sworn in May 16, 2017. He was elected to serve as Mayor in May 2024 and was reelected to the position in June 2025. His current term expires in May 2026. At that time, the at-large position will transition to the Mayor position per the Charter Amendment in May 2024. 

Mr. Ariola is a native of Taylor and a 1985 graduate of Taylor High School. He served on the Planning and Zoning Commission before being elected to Council. He is a member of Taylor Kiwanis and American Legion Post 39 and is working to rebuild the Legion's presence in Taylor. He is a Retired Master Chief (Submarines) of 20 years.

He currently is employed by industry leading Burkert Fluid Control Systems a worldwide leader in measurement and control technology for fluids and gases as the Area Sales Manager. He is responsible for the company’s market development, application opportunities, with being the foremost authority on the applications and requirements for the Pharma & Biotech focused industries.

Mr. Ariola and his wife have created a loving, blended family with their three adult children: Koby, Joanna, and Jennifer. Each child has pursued higher education successfully, graduating from respected Texas universities—UTSA, St. Edwards University, and Texas State respectively. Koby, who is married, also has a young daughter, adding a joyful extension to the family. All three siblings currently work in the Central Texas area.
