Greg Redden was elected to City Council, District 1 in May 2025. He was first sworn in on May 13, 2025. His current term expires in May 2028.
Mr. Redden is a 1983 graduate of Temple High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1984 to 1992, during which time he traveled the world maintaining jets and helicopters. He later worked for the City of Austin Fleet Services, retiring as a supervisor in 2016. He is now a small business owner.
Mr. Redden is also active in several local charities in and around Taylor. He is a member and past president of the Rotary Club of Taylor, a service officer for American Legion Post 39, a member of the Taylor Rodeo Association, and a Taylor Chamber of Commerce Ambassador.
