Parks Project Updates - Week of March 17, 2025

2024 Parks Improvements

  • A series of parks projects were included in the 2024 Certificates of Obligation Bond. These projects are all on hold following the bidding and construction start of the Doris Roznovak Aquatic Center. The project came in far over budgeted amounts. Much of the 2024 COs were needed to make up the difference. Of the original $4 Million in funds for these projects, just over $1.3 million is remaining for other parks projects. The Parks and Recreation Department will soon take projects to Council for consideration.

  • February 27, 2025 – Pier excavation has been started. Contractors expect to complete 10-12 piers per day. A total of 106 piers will be installed to provide stabilization to the pool and prevent soil movement from destroying the pool like the last one.Doris Roznovak Aquatic Center Construction - March 17, 2025
